The film is showing yet again on IFC, this time in another block of short films. Sometimes it shows in its own time slot, other times as part of a short film collection. It has been on almost every month for the past three months. It must be getting good reactions.
Film Premieres in Russia

Synopsis
Wide Awake In Nothing takes place in an indeterminate future, where life exists only inside giant, enclosed factories, the result of some sort of ecological disaster. Ben Carter is a young up and comer in the factory system who has been charged by the domineering manager, Mr. Addams, with finding out what is causing a loss in productivity.
Through the unwitting help of a trusting worker named Marshall, Ben soon learns that rumors of the outside world and relics from the past are to blame for the distractions. Facilitating these distractions by bringing in contraband is a "fixer," Sarah, who is uncertain whether or not to trust Ben. Though ordered to crack down on this contraband and those who provide it, Ben comes to appreciate these parts of life and must make a decision whether or not he will continue to lead an increasingly meaningless existence inside the factories or push the limits of faith and logic by venturing outside and into the unknown.

Coming to IFC
Wide Awake in Nothing will be coming to the Independent Film Channel starting in August. This is a great opportunity to see the film if you haven't and is also a fantastic bit of publicity for everyone involved in the film. More information will be forthcoming, since obviously at this point there is no exact scheduling available. Besides, who would care if there was? It's not as if people have already scheduled their day to day activities for August yet. At least I hope no one has.

Wide Awake in Nothing Fest Update
Last week's Silver Lake fest went very well and we had a big crowd for the screening. Found out about a couple more festivals, so thought I'd pass them along.
First is the New York City Horror Festival from October 20-24th. It's showing at the Tribeca Film Centre, which is cool. Some people are curious about the horror aspect, but most horror festivals are also sci-fi and fantasy festivals.

Also is the Griffon International Film Festival in St. Joseph's, Missouri, which takes place in about 6 days.
